Overview
Meraki Recruitment has partnered with a fast-growing project delivery group to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a long-term FIFO role on an 8:6 roster. Based in Karratha, this is a site-based role suited to someone commercially minded with strong field reporting and contractor oversight capability. The role is embedded within a high-performing commercial team, with strong support from Perth-based contract specialists. You’ll take ownership of daily site reporting, work alongside senior stakeholders, and act as the commercial interface between site and head office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily reporting of site progress, including photo logs and contractor hours
- Tracking work against project schedule and critical path scopes
- Signing off contractor time sheets and validating site performance
- Supporting head office commercial teams on claims and variations
- Acting as the “commercial eyes and ears” onsite to ensure accurate documentation
- Preparing end-of-swing reports and maintaining documentation integrity
- Collaborating closely with planners and contract specialists
About You:
5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial roleSite-based experience in construction, mining or oil & gasAbility to work autonomously with a proactive mindsetStrong skills in progress tracking, reporting and contractor managementComfortable with Excel, Word, and interpreting construction schedulesFamiliarity with AS/NEC or bespoke contracts (advantageous)A steady, calm approach with excellent attention to detail
